Kenya has landed a new deal with South Africa. Starting 1st January 2023, Kenyans are allowed to visit South Africa on a VISA free basis.

This announcement has been made following President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa 2-day official visit to Kenya in November 2022.

In an effort to increase continental trade, Presidents William Ruto and Cyril Ramaphosa said they relaxed the countries’ strict immigration regulations between Kenya and South Africa.

Kenyans will be able to visit the second-largest economy in Africa for up to 90 days per year without a VISA under the new rules.

The governments of Kenya and South Africa also gave their trade ministers instructions to remove obstacles that prevent trade between the two nations.

South Africa and Kenya are among the strongest economies on the African continent.
