Passenger throughput at Kenya’s main airport, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport’s (JKIA), in October 2018 increased by 13 percent from the figure recorded the same month in 2017 to hit 665,413 passengers.The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) disclosed on Wednesday in a statement that aircraft movement increased by 3.4 percent to record a movement of 9,604 aircraft over the same period.
On the other hand, the amount of cargo handled rose by 38 percent to stand at 35,610,423.00 kilogrammes recorded over the period under review.
Meanwhile, during the same period, the top foreign destinations by passengers from JKIA included Dubai, Amsterdam, Johannesburg, Addis Ababa and Entebbe.
